More Whippet Wonders

They keep showing up and making my life so much easier. I even had a very special trio of Whippet Wonders come all the way from Jackson, TN (my daughter, Mary) and from Franklin, TN (My mom and my sister, Judy). They have helped me get everyone of my new classrooms ready for students to thrive and to learn. Mom, Judy and Mary, you are Whippet Wonders!

Brighton was in her mother's (our awesome counselor's) office, and I asked if she could help me with my bulletin board. She happily agreed. After putting up the whippet paw prints all around, she said, "why don't we put superheros between each one!" Great, I thought. Little did I know that the next day she would have printed out several different ones in color and then meticulously cut out each one.

Jenny Cook showed me an apartment in May that I could rent for a great price. She has been awesome in making me feel welcome. When I needed a little help moving, she sent her boys, Matt and Will, to help!  I also got help from the off duty police officers from across the street. Jenny, Matt, and Will, you are Whippet Wonders! (And, of course, Kosciusko PD).

I told Miss Mary, the janitor that I needed a bookshelf for my room. The next day she had found me one (without shelves) and helped me deliver it. I found a broken down shelf unit in the hall a few weeks earlier and had saved it. It was a good thing because I rehabilitated them for my "new' shelf unit. Fortunately, a student, Angel,  I had recruited while she waited tables at the Italian restarant, was in the counselor's office registering. I asked her if she could help me cut the shelves. (Her boyfriend was there waiting on her and I recruited him too. Miss Mary and Angel (and friend) you are Whippet Wonders!

This place is just full of Whippet Wonders. I think I am going to like this place.
