My mission in life is to enjoy and share the wonders of this world. As an unknown author posited, science is the quest for knowledge not the knowledge itself. This blog will be a wondrous quest - Kosy Style. I hope each reader's quest will find some of those wonders.

Best Place in America (BPIA)
Best Place in America - that is what I said when Coach Kevin let me in the building one night after I had locked my glasses in the building after unloading my fourth truck load from my previous school - it takes a lot of toys to teach science well.
Indeed Kosciusko, affectionately called Kosy, is the Best Place in America for me. From the first interview with Boss, John-Mark Cain, I knew I was welcome and wanted and had a place where my skills and talents and personality would flourish. Then Jenny talked to her friend Jenny and all of a sudden I have an apartment to stay in during the week so I will not have to make an hour and fifteen minute daily commute. BPIA
See my Junior Scientist post for another reason Kosy is the best place in America.
At my first meeting with Claude Julian, who owns an upscale dress shop on the square, we launched into an animated discussion about the importance of academics and how they would help not only the students but also the town to grow. He had already heard about me. He even flattered me and said I was the tipping point at the high school (a reference to Malcolm Gladwell's book by the same name). The truth is I am just one of many Kosy Legends at the school as the Twitter page asserts (@khslegends). Whatever the case he has introduced me to most of the business owners on the square. Claude is strongly in corner of excellent academics that will complement the excellent athletics. BPIA
At the T-shirt shop, where I was seeking a new Super B shirt with Kosy colors, I met Janna who was so excited to meet me and had already heard about me. She said she looked forward to the challenge of my physics' class. On my second trip I met Kailyn who was reluctant at first, but I won her over. Now she too is excited about my class. (She has talked her twin brother into it also). BPIA
I have been painting my apartment and took a supper break one night at the Italian restaurant. I aggravated the waitress about not knowing anything about the items on the menu except breakfast. One thing led to another and I found out she was sold on my physics’ class along with the cook, another waiter and someone else they drafted by text. My physics' class is growing by the day. Janna, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Angel, Rodrigo, Another Angel, Rachel and Kevin. BPIA
At another supper break from painting at Outfielders on the square I met one of my chemistry students, Destiny, who is a cheerleader and daughter of Sheila the owner. And at another break at the same place I met Kiera who plays point guard on the basketball team and will be in my chemistry class. (The secret to good painting is quality breaks!) BPIA
Pretty soon I will have met all of my students before school even starts. As I was saying it was clear from the start that I would flourish here. BPIA.
